..so here it is, my homemade pochade boxes in different sizes. what fun!! hahahaha. making them was a bitch as i had no access to any power tools, but its well worth it i think. the little one from the far left was actually my ver first. the second one is a miniature version of the full-size pochade that is mounted on a tripod. i dont know about you but the drawer kick's ass!!

i had a large canvas sitting on my freind's garage for a week or two and could'nt decide what i was going to paint. I had several ideas but nothing seem to stick as I'm a little intimidated of the sizeo the canvas. Alicia had an idea of a waterfall and so i went ahead, having no clue of what the final picture was going to look like. I decided to paint a romantic scene and the whole nine yards. I like Andrew Macarra's work. His compositions and choice of subjects are very simple yet moving.

this is the rear view of the top lid. This is going to serve as the main easel of the pochade box. I could've gone away with a simplier design but i resorted to be a bit more daring LOL!~ I'm hoping the design works as i have no idea of where im going to get the materials.

this is a rendering of a little project im planning of constructing this weekend. Its a homemade pochade box specifically used for plein air painting. I saw a similar box at a local art store in Port Townsend, WA but it was a little too pricey for me. So I thought, since im recently single with nothing better to do with my free time, how about building my own!! so here it is, i use the Paint program to draw this simple plan. it looks pretty basic but I'm also thinking of adding a drawer to the side for paints and brushes.

this was done on a sunday afternoon. the sunlight was quickly fading and so I had to a paint in a hurry just to get the overall feel of the picture. I love the way the light hit the tree trunk which then cast a beautifuyl shadow on the house.

I am fairly new to this online blogging phenomena. I always thought of people who blog as sort of on a whiny-side. write about anything, personal ideas, opinions and meningless rants. Blogging actually reminds me of Alicia alot. I like her writings and poems. I never thought that i'd have any hope of doing anything worthwhile with my life. I'm very complascent, lazy and un-motivated. some people's impressions of me are right of the bat most of the time. but i have given up on trying to convince people of liking me. it seems like the more i try the more i let people down. Art is the only thing left in my life for which i cant go wrong. so now im here, looking forward to a new journey, endeavor. a new page...
